JUNPEI KOJIMA 小島淳平
Rooted in a deep understanding of Japanese culture and film language, Junpei’s work reflects a director at the height of his craft, trusted across the industry for both precision and wit. He is widely regarded as one of Japan’s most respected and sought-after commercial directors, known for drawing outstanding performances from actors and shaping them through a distinctive style marked by sharp, fast-paced humor.
Born in Tokyo in 1973, Junpei is a graduate of Musashino Art University. He began his career in 1997 at ACA’s Planning and Direction Department, before joining AOI Pro. in 2002, where he further refined his approach to commercial filmmaking.
A founding member of THE DIRECTORS GUILD in 2004, Junpei has built a career defined by consistency, craft, and industry trust. His work has received numerous honors, including awards from ACC CM Festival, TCC, AdFest, New York Festivals, and the Galaxy Awards, among many others.
Junpei is a founding member of THE NoLD.
